What are stamps?
Stamps (also commonly referred to as "Deviantart stamps") emerged on deviantart sometime around 2010. They were commonly used as profile decoration on a range of sites to show off fandoms or opinions. Despite commonly being paired with blinkies, stamps emerged much later than blinkies, and stayed for a lot shorter too. They peaked popularity somtime around 2011-2013, before slowly becoming less relevant, until in 2020 they were pretty much entirley irrelevant. this was until 2022, where a renewed interest in "old internet" concepts revived an interest in them, and we've been seeing a big spike in them ever since, helped with the growing popularity of things like Rentry, Carrd and Artfight.
